Our Story

We are three friends raising some incredible bees in our backyard! The Backyard Apiary was established at the beginning of 2020. We have no employees or contracts. Just some new beekeepers and a lot of bees! 

Our bees produce honey from local trees and plants that are free of pesticides. We extract the honey only when the bees have produced an overabundance, and it is filtered without additives or chemicals.

Since our bees are just getting their foundations established, we only collect a limited amount of wax left over from honey extraction.
